9:00am-10:30am – Mixed aerial silks and corde lisse 

11:00am-12:30pm – Mixed lyra, solo and duo trapeze

We are so happy to offer some top notch training with Christine while she is in Buffalo with Cirque de la Symphonie. In these workshops, we will learn new skills and incorporate creative choreographic sequencing.  We will also focus on performance enhancement techniques to invigorate your routines with life, innovation and excitement.

Geared toward students who can climb and invert. Please wear close fitting clothing with no zippers. 

About Christine: 

Christine Van Loo is a 7-time consecutive National Champion, Female Olympic Athlete of the Year, and Athlete of the Decade in acrobatic gymnastics. She was inducted into the USSA (acro-gymnastics) Hall of Fame and the World Acrobatics Society Gallery of Honor.

As a professional aerialist and acrobat she has performed in the 2002 Winter Olympics, at two Grammy Awards (with No Doubt and with Ricky Martin), at the American Music Awards (with Aerosmith), the Miss Universe pageant, and Paul McCartney’s European tour, as well as several feature films, television shows and music videos. She choreographed the aerials for Britney Spears World Tour and the Stars on Ice US tour. Currently she is touring with Cirque de la Symphonie.

Christine loves sharing her passion with aspiring aerialists and acrobats worldwide. She has worked as a gymnastics, acrobatics and aerial coach, choreographer and director, training athletes and performers from beginner to elite/professional level. Christine has taught master classes in Australia, Japan, Italy, Hong Kong, South Africa, Costa Rica, Canada, and the US.  She is co-owner of Aireborne Arts, an aerial retreat center in Costa Rica overlooking a 600 foot waterfall offering flying trapeze, aerial artistry, partnering acrobatics and more.
